These Terms & Conditions provide a working basis for a smooth and productive working relationship. A copy of which will be sent to you for signing before we embark on our decluttering journey.

 

Privacy & Confidentiality

Developing a trusting working relationship begins with myself Lee Wild of Bee Sorted agreeing to maintain the confidentiality of all client information, working in a non-judgemental and respectful manner. The clients identity will not be divulged without prior permission.

Bee Sorted is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICC) and is a member of the Association of Professional Declutters and Organisers (APDO) and abides by their code of ethics. As such, client information will never be passed on to a third party, nor any business or personal details shared.

Any images taken to show and record progress of any decluttering session will not be shared without full permission of the client and to maintain their privacy, ensures the client is not identifiable.

 

Best Advice

Any advice is given in good faith and it is always the client’s decision to accept any guidance and advice. Bee Sorted cannot accept any responsibility for the client’s actions, nor the consequences of the client’s decisions. 

Please note that Bee Sorted cannot offer guidance on valuations and is not qualified to identify items of potentially high value.

 

Client Support & Cooperation

The client is required to be present and to participate throughout with each decluttering session and to ensure disruptions are minimised. The time required for completing projects depends on individual circumstances, including the clients ability to make decisions and fully participate in the decluttering and organising process. 

Therefore the length of time needed to complete a project is given in good faith and Bee Sorted will make every effort to complete within the estimated time period suggested. However the client is responsible for the payment of services provided exceeding any suggested timescales.

The client is responsible for informing Bee Sorted of any health and safety concerns that may affect all parties concerned during work on site.

 

Working Practices

It is recognised that light cleaning such as dusting is part of the decluttering and organising process. Bee Sorted can assist clients with this, but if deep cleaning is required the client is responsible for arranging this themselves. Bee Sorted is not a cleaning or removal company therefore will not carry out any heavy cleaning, lifting or removal of large or heavy items.

 

Working Hours

The start time and an indication of the amount of time required to complete a decluttering session will be discussed at the point of booking. Should a session take less time than anticipated you will not be charged for hours not worked. If a session spans a lunch time Bee Sorted  will provide their own lunch and will usually take a short break. The client will not be charged for this break.

 

Valuable Possessions 

Bee Sorted has full public liability and professional indemnity insurance. Whilst every care will be taken with client’s possessions during the session, accidents sometimes occur. The  Bee Sorted cannot take responsibility for the damage or loss of any items. It is the clients’ responsibility to ensure that their home insurance is up to date and sufficient to cover any potential breakages.

 

Removal of Clients’ Items

The client is responsible for making all final decisions regarding the removal of items. Following a decluttering session, Bee Sorted can support the client to take items to a charity shop, recycling or household waste site for disposal, but Bee Sorted will not be held liable for these items.

 

Cancellations

It may be necessary for either the client or Bee Sorted to cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances. Cancellation of a scheduled session should be done at least 48 hours in advance (except in the case of an emergency), by telephone or text message. If a session is cancelled by the client within 24 hours (except in the case of an emergency) then 50% payment will be required. 

 

Payment Terms

Payment is due at the end of each organising session for the hours covered in that session unless otherwise agreed in advance. Payment can be made by cheque, cash or a bank transfer.

Standard fees are £30 per hour (minimum booking 3 hours)

For an initial consultation on-site I charge £20, but this fee will be deducted from your final invoice if we do work together. 

I work at no extra charge within a 20 mile radius of Hebden Bridge, after which I will charge milage at 45p/mile.
